	Tank Bottom Valve with Emergency Shut-Down Function for Earth-Covered Vessels These special valves are applicable for earth-covered vessels containing chemicals (fluids and gases) with a diameter of two to approx. six metres and outlet sizes from DN 50 up to DN 200. The valves comply to PED 97/23/EC rules. An accreditation in acc. to 94/9/EC rules (Atex 100 a) has been applied for. Interchangeable seat rings as well as tandem seals (metal-to-metal and PTFE) ensure an ultimate tightness at any time. Bellow seals and a safety stuffing box ensure a high tightness in acc. to TA-Luft. The pneumatic actuator including all control elements as well as the emergency hand wheel are located in the manhole pit of the earth-covered vessel. The emergency shut-down function is activated by using weights to be inserted. In case of an emergency the valve closes immediately by gravitational force.
